About Me
My name is Emma, Hypnobirthing Teacher, Infant Feeding Practitioner and Doula.
I live in the West Midlands with my husband Nicholas and our 2 children, James & Daisy.
After having a difficult breastfeeding start with James, I developed a passion to support other families to reach their feeding goals.
Experience
In 2013 I trained with La Leche League GB as a Breastfeeding Peer Counsellor.
I then went on to volunteer in the community for 6 years at my local breastfeeding support group- ‘The Milk Bar’ in Mere Green which was nominated for a Town Council Community award for 2 years running.
I am now part of the Infant Feeding Team in the NHS.
Having working clinically within the Infant Feeding team at University Hospitals Birmingham, Heartlands and Good Hope Hospitals, I have a sound knowledge and understanding of Infant Feeding and Breastfeeding Support.

Where did my passion for hypnobirthing come from?
After having James via emergency c.section and feeling unsafe to hold him after birth due to shaking so much, it was when I was pregnant with Daisy that I looked into hypnobirthing. I was determined to keep control and hold her as soon as she was born. During the c.section with Daisy I could start to feel myself shaking again uncontrollably- this is quite normal due to adrenaline. I gained focus, visualised and went into deep breathing relaxation mode. As soon as I heard the surgeon say the word ‘uterus’ I was back in the room and ready to hold my baby. It was the most magical experience when she was placed in my arms crying. Speaking to her she knew my voice immediately and gazed into my eyes. Definitely a moment I will never forget!
